The Telugu Desam Party has urged the State Election Commission to stop all television advertisements sourced to the Government regarding Rajiv Griha Kalpa and Rajiv Yuva Shakti and recover the costs incurred on them since August 28 from the Congress. The party has also urged the SEC to restrain Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy from holding onsite review meetings with officials on irrigation projects.

Summoning officials involved in the conduct of municipal elections for reviews would disturb their work while it also amounted to influencing votes by talking about the Government Irrigation schemes. A delegation of TDP called on the SEC, AVS Reddy on Thursday and submitted separate memoranda of their demands.
