Government to engage top lawyers in reservation issue
Hyderabad

The State Government will utilize the provision granted by the High Court to move a special leave petition in the Supreme Court challenging the orders of the AP High Court in respect of Muslim reservation issue. The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy told to a delegation of Muslim religious leaders, MLAs and MP of Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen. led by Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi who called on the Chief Minister in his Chambers said that the Government will utilize the services of senior lawyers to tackle the case in the Apex Court.

Mr.Owaisi is believed to have expressed displeasure the way the reservation issue was handed by the Government. He asked the Chief Minister to sincere and appoint a good counsel to fight the case. Reacting to the please, the Chief Minister said that the Government was sincere in granting reservations to Muslims and would not back out. The services of experienced and senior counsel would be requisitioned to take up the issue in Apex Court. The Chief Minister was briefed by the Advocate General about the arguments and proceedings that took place in the court.
