Summonses were issued to TDP president and former Chief Minister N.Chandra Babu Naidu and others before the designated court on December 15 in connection with the allotment of land to a sports management committee. The Court also summoned former Revenue Minister P.Ashok Gajapati Raju and the former Sport Minister P. Ramulu and a couple of senior officials.
The then TDP Government headed by Mr.Naidu had allotted 400 aces to the sports management company near Gachibowli for establishing a world class sports facility. The charge was that the price at which the land was allotted was much below the prevailing one.
Government Chief Whip N.Kiran Kumar Reddy had demanded even a CBI enquiry into the land alleging large scale corruption. The Khairatabad MLA P.Janardhana Reddy had visited the area on Tuesday.
