House of APCLC Leader attacked

Five unidentified persons attacked the house of Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee (APCLC) General Secretary S.Seshaiah in Vidyut Nagar on Wednesday night. A letter was found outside the house of the Prof. Seshaiah on Thursday morning in the name of Rayalaseema Tigers claiming responsibility for the attack. A car, furniture in the corridor, some books ad door and window curtains were burnt by the attackers.

A fire tender was rushed to the spot after he informed the fire department and the police after attackers left the place.

Prof.Seshiah, who is also the Head of Department of Law in Sri Krishnadevaraya University, explained that a few persons started shouting in front of his house using filthy language against him and around 10.30pm when he was in the house along with his wife who is a member of Virasam. A threatening letter was found outside his house in the morning by the police one Mahesh demanded the APCLC leaders to quit their posts before December 1 or else they would be killed.
