HSBC Global Facility at Hyderabad inaugurated

The new HSBC Global Resourcing facility in the country was inaugurated on Thursday with the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy expressing optimism about the growth of Information Technology sector. Inaugurating the facility, the Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh had witnessed highest growth rate in IT and IT Enabled services in the country by achieving $1.79 billion in export revenue tantamount to 64.5 per cent growth.

The Chief Minister said that his Government was concentrating on the development of infrastructure and connectivity. Plans were afoot to develop 10 airports in the State. He urged HSBC to set up operations in other Tier-II cities including Tirupati.

The HSBC facility at Hyderabad is the fifth in the country ad the second in the State capital. It offers I house services in knowledge processing, accountancy, credit card, mortgage ad human resources to its staff in India, China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and the Philippines. It has a residential training facility to meet learning and development needs.
