East GodavariThe District Administration on Sunday tightened the noose around the fishermen, who are against the Government’s drive of demolishing fish tanks in the Kolleru Lake, in the wake of a attack on two policemen by agitators at Agadalanka.
The Bhimadole Police registered a case against J.Rama Rao, president of Eluru mandal Parishad and TDP leader in connection with the assault on the police following a complaint by the injured Sub Inspector. In all, cases were booked against 25 fishermen holding them responsible for the attack.
