Home Minister faults media stand
Hyderabad

The Home Minister, K.Jana Reddy faulted the media for disseminating news that the police were negligent in apprehending Moddu Sreenu, who was injured in a bomb blast when he was on the run following the association of former TDP MLA Paritala Ravi.

He said that the media failed to understand that the police were forced to close several cases as undetected five to eight years after they were registered on the ground that the culprits could not be brought to book.

The Home Minister said the police were on continuously on the look out for wanted criminals. They had not given up the chase for Sreenu though it was not their duty as the case relating to Paritala Ravi‘s killing was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
