Film actress Vijayashanti vowed on Monday to fight for a separate Telangana and claimed the BJP support to her. As the press conference was in progress, she had to face noisy protest from some activist of the National Students Union of India deploring her 'Separatist stance'. She said that she was concerned about backwardness in Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema as well as Telangana but would fight for separate Telangana. She said that she will fight for people but not for any position or power.
Meanwhile, NSUI activists obstructed her shouting she should not talk of a separate Telangana while participating in a function in the Andhra Region. She had to stop the conference amid slogans against her stance.
