The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) on Tuesday informed the Chief Minister that it had no plans to take up expansion of the Simhadri Thermal project in the 11th Plan. This was in response to the Chief Minister's suggestion to the Corporation to increase the plant's capacity by another 1000 MW.
Speaking to reports after meeting with the Chief Minister, the NTPC Chairman and Managing Director CP Jain said that expansion proposals for the Simhadri project were included in the 12th plan.
