Explosives unearthed in Adilabad

Adilabad, May 18, 2005

The Adilabad police on Wednesday recovered a large quantity of explosives belonging to the Maoists. The recovered explosives consist of six landmines, six claymore mines, 31 hand grenade shells, 24 detonators, two 12 bore rounds and four bullets of 8mm rifle and in addition to wire bundles and an explosive filling device.

The mines were meant for targeting the special party police who often take this route. It is learnt that the naxals have enough explosive materials to kill scores of police personnel.
