The police have identified 124 activists of the TDP responsible for the violence at Penukonda on May 13. Of them, 11 have been arrested and they are in judicial remand. Speaking to the press, the SP RS Praveen Kumar allayed fears that TDP workers would be victimized.
Cases were being booked with evidence available in the form of videotapes recorded by news channels and other officials present at the time of violence.
