An awareness Programme to educate farmers on the need to fix good quality capacitors to their agricultural pump sets as part of the energy conservation measure has been taken up by the power utilities during the ongoing 'Rythu Chaitanya Yatra'.
The Chairperson and Managing director, APTransco while interacting with farmers in Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts said that fixing capacitors to 5 hp pump sets would reduce transformer failures, motor burnouts and result in saving fifteen percent energy.
