Rs. 500 Crores for Visakha Pharma City

Hyderabad, March 6, 2005

The Union Ministry of Environment and Forest has accorded environmental clearance for the Rs. 400 crores Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City coming up on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam.

The Special Representative of Andhra Pradesh in New Delhi Mallu Ravi told reporters on Sunder after calling the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the Pharma City Project along with the 27 km long Visakha-Bhimili road has obtained the environmental clearance. The Kailasagiri ropeway project in Visakhapatnam was also accorded environmental clearance.
