The naxals belonging to CPI (Maoists) which has given a call for Mahabubnagar district bandh for Saturday next in protest against the recent killings in the State torched five buses including one belonging to Karnataka Road Transportation on Thursday.
According to information a group of 15-armed naxals first targeted two vehicles loaded with cool drink bottles. After unloading them, the naxalites damaged some of the bottles and blocked the road with the rest. Later they set ablaze a Karnataka RTC bus that was coming from Balki in Karnataka to Srisailam and the naxals also set ablaze four more buses of the APSRTC that were proceeding to Srisailam.
