Naxals surrender

Warangal, March 23, 2005

Twenty Naxalites belonging to different outfits surrendered before the police in the State. Eight naxals surrendered before the DIG BL Meena. The surrendered naxals are two dalam members of the Maoist party, one deputy commander and two dalam members of the Praja Prathigathana and two dalam members of Prathigathana and one dalam member of the Janashakti.

In Anathapur, two local guerrilla squad members of the CPI(Maoist) surrendered before the additional SP of Dharmavaram. The police recovered a landmine planted on the outskirts of Ganthimarri village with the police as target and also recovered some other material. In Sangareddy, four naxals including two youngsters who worked in the protection squad for the CPI (Maoist) State Committee secretary, Ramakrishna and the Janashakti State Secretary Amar surrendered before the DIG of Nizamabad and Medak range.
