The Senior Deputy General Manager, BHEL MVS Rao was arrested by the Ramachandrapuram police on the charge of attempting to outrage the modesty of a handicapped woman apprentice hailing from Prakasam district. According to the DSP, the young women who was returning to her hostel on Monday afternoon was accosted by the senior officer and followed her on a car till she agreed to be dropped at the hostel.
Instead of taking the hapless and sick girl to the hostel, he drove his car to a deserted place and allegedly tried to molest the girl, which she resisted. She reported the matter to the police and he was arrested immediately and he was denied bail and remanded to police custody.
