Loan sought for APSRTC

Hyderabad, March 2, 2005

The Staff and Workers Federation of the Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) on Wednesday sought a Rs. 120 crores loans from the Government to save the corporation. In a representation submitted to the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the federation suggested that the police inspectors be given the power to control illegal transport operations.

According to a press release issued by the federation, the Chief Minister assured its leaders that the Government was concentrating on long term measures to save the APSRTC.
