Karimnagar, March 18, 2005

Nearly 120 Intermediate students of Alphores Junior College for Boys and Kothapalli on the outskirts of Karimnagar were taken ill after consuming contaminated food and water in their hostel mess on Friday.

Police sources said that some hostel students had been suffering from diarrhoea for the last two days due to contamination of water and food in the hostel and were taking medicines. When the situation became alarming, the college authorities called in private and Government doctors for attending on the students in the hostel. The conditions of the students were stable.
