The Home Minister, K Jana Reddy had dubbed the naxals mayhem in Chilakaluripet as a barbaric act.
Speaking to reporters after participating in the Dandi march on Satuday, he called upon all sections of society to join the Government in condemning the killing spree of naxlites. He promised all help for the bereaved families. He said that there was a need for naxals to make an introspection on such gruesome killings. He said that the Government would not be cowed down by violence. He however, evaded direct answer to a question on the issue of imposing ban on the naxals.
