The Pulichintala project has finally secured the necessary Environmental clearance from the Centre on Thursday. This brings in the much needed relief to the Chief Minister, YS.Rajasekhara Reddy who was instrumental in pushing things forward to make way for the project.
The Chief Minister at a press conference said that the work on the project will begin within a week days time. He said that a technical team was at the site for speeding up the work. He described the clearance as an important milestone crossed as it would fulfill the long lost dream of Krishna delta farmers. The Chief Minister asserted that his Government would not go back on its promise of converting the State into Harithandrapradesh.

The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy assured a delegation comprising members of the Democratic Youth Federation of India that a commission of inquiry would be held into the alleged leakage of the APPSC question paper by a senior IAS officer. He promised that if the inquiry confirmed their allegations, the Government would conduct a re examination.

The District Administration has launched a crackdown on mineral water companies doing water business illegally. Personnel from the Revenue Department and Food Inspector’s Office have been conducting a series of raids jointly on the water companies in different parts of the district. According to information, at least seven companies were seized in the last two days.
