The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ignored the ultimatum issued by the CPI (Maoist) and the CPI (ML) Janashakti to sever links with the ruling Congress in the State by Wednesday.
As the deadline set by two parties came to an end, TRS leaders decided not to react to the sensitive issue but were reluctant to on record. The Maoist Central Committee member, Prakash, had issued an ultimatum to TRS leaders and Ministers to break ties with the Congress.
A Cabinet Minister belonging to the TRS seeking anonymity said that his party had decided not to heed to the ultimatum.

A dump consisting of 10 Claymore mines, some plastic sheets and five empty mine boxes was unearthed by the police near Pokalapalem village in GK Veedhi mandal on Wednesday according to Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Kumar Jain. The police detected five Claymore mines planted by the Naxalites on the Kunukuru Balarevu road in Koyyuru mandal along with a 75 metre long wire. The mines were defused.

In an accident, four persons were electrocuted and two others critically injured in Ganeswarapuram of Darsi mandal on Wednesday. The accident occurred when the victims were removing pipes from a bore well. As they were removing the pipes, they touched the overhead high-tension wires and the four were electrocuted.
