The Karimnagar police arrested a top leader of the Janashakti in Suraram village on Friday when he visited the village reportedly to exort money from the businessmen and traders. The naxal is the deputy commander of Ramakanth dalam. The police recovered on .45 loaded service revolver, 30 rounds and 12 bore cartridges and Rs.1 lakh cash, olive green uniform and party flags etc.,
The Superintendent of Police, Rajiv Ratan said a police party went to the village on a route visit. On seeing it, the naxal along with two other naxalites took to heels. The police gave a chase and nabbed him.
