Peace talks to commence in two months

Kadapa (Cuddapah), January 8, 2005

The second round of negotiations between the Government and the CPI (Maoist) will be held within two months according to the Home Minister, K Jana Reddy.

The Government is making efforts to end the stalemate in talks considering the experiences during the first phase of talks, he told a press conference. Peace prevailed in the State despite some minor incidents. The Government ensured that loss of lives and properties did not continue by holding talks with naxalites and guagued their line of thinking and activities he said.
