3 Congressmen hurt in group clashes

Guntur, January 7, 2005

Three people were injured when two groups of the Congress clashed near autonagar in Guntur before APCC President K Keshavaraos convoy entered the city in a rally on Friday. The District Youth Congress Canvassing Committee President Y Vijay Khan and others received bleeding injuries and were treated in Government General Hospital.

The injured said that they were beaten with sticks and knives showing cuts on the hand and back. One of them, a JNTU student from Hyderabad was profusely bleeding from the head. The cause of the clash is diversion of the convoy for the programmes arranged by two groups.
