Group I Main Examinations postponed

Hyderabad, January 6, 2005

The judgment of the Administrative Tribunal that was taken up upon petitions filed by some candidates was delivered on Thursday to reduce the cut off marks from the present 69 to 61 marks.

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has decided to postpone the Group I Main examination scheduled to be held from January 19, 2005. Chairman of APPSC P Ramulu said that the Commission had also decided to postpone the Group I Main Examination though the Tribunal had not made any comment on the change of examination date. He said the examination would now be conducted in the second or third week of February after considering the availability of venues and also the laborious process of sending hall tickets to the newly qualified candidates.
