12 persons injured in group clash

Atleast 12 persons sustained injuries in a group clash between the supporters of the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) at Sayanapalli under T Naraspur Police Station limits on Wednesday. Four people with grievous head injuries were shifted to Eluru Government Hospital for treatment while the rest were admitted in Chintalapudi Government Hospital. According police reports, a group of TDP supporters raided the house of the rival group with iron rods and other weapons leading to a pitched battle that left down people injured.
