Naxals of the CPI (Maoists) set fire to a bus owned and operated by the state-owned Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) in the interior Chintakunta village of Kathalapur mandal on Saturday night in protest against the alleged encounters. The police sources said the APSRTC bus was on its way to Bushanraopeta village from Chintakunta village when two militants forced the bus to stop and asked the conductor and driver to alight the vehicle and they broke open the diesel tank and set it a fire.
