The Godavarikhani Sub Division police unearthed three landmines planted on the Huzurnagar Korakunta Road of Adavimurtharam mandal on Saturday. They also arrested a member of the CPI (Maoist) who had allegedly planted them from Huzurnagar village. The SP Rajiv Ratan said innocent youth and new recruits were being exploited by the naxals to indulge in such acts. The Janashakti Ramakanth Dalam member, K Sambakka surrendered before the police owing to ill health and disillusionment with the ideology of naxals.
