Hyderabad, January 22, 2005

The Chief Minister of Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy has called for greater restrain on the part of the Police as well as naxalites to give fresh impetus to the peace process. In the light of recent violent incidents and the fears over the deteriorating law and order situation, he said, he felt that a good beginning both naxals and the Government were duty bound to continue the process.

The people's agenda was taken up by both should not be abonded midway lest the fruits of development should be deprived to prople. He said that no illegal or immoral policing will be allowed in the State. He said broader perspective was needed to take the negotiations to logical conclusion.
