Hyderabad, January 2, 2005

The State branch of the Indian Red Cross Society has collected blankets, bed sheets, old clothes, rice, dal, utensils and medicines and dispatched them to the six tsunami hit districts. It received till date Rs. 15.95 lakhs as donations. K Rajyalakshmi, Secretary said in a press release on Sunday that two cartons of medicines to Kumbakonam and 90 milk powder packets were sent to Sri Lanka following requests form local officials.
