The police are anticipating reprisals from the CPI (Maoist) from January 20, 2005 when it has given a call for State wide bandh till February 5, 2005. Besides, the Maoists have also decided to kill some important political leaders, people's representatives and police constables in Warangal district, the DGP Swaranjit Sen stated in a press conference on Wednesday.
It was raveled in a document written by the Khammam Warangal division committee secretary of the CPI (Maoist) DVK Swamy that he had collected Rs.83 lakhs of which Rs.23.10 lakhs was spent on purchase of weapons. Another 93.80 lakhs was collected from beedi leaf contractors and Rs.27.65 lakhs from tribals in the Nallamala forest agency. The DGP said a large number of documents, crude weapons, a lap top computer and a generator recovered during the recent encounters exposed the designs of the Maoists.
