Threatening calls to Kadiyam Srihari

Hyderabad, February 5, 2005

Senior TDP leader and former Minister Kadiam Srihari on Saturday said that he had been receiving threat calls ever since his emotional speech at the meeting held at Anantapur on Friday to condole the murder of the party MLA Paritala Ravi. In a press conference, Srihari said he got the first call when he reached Kurnool at 11.15 pm along with party colleague N.Janardhana Reddy.

The caller mobile number is 94400 64347 Chidambar Reddy spoke in abusive language taking objection to his speech and reference to the Panchayat Raj Minister, JC Diwakar Reddy.He threatened that the fate of Ravi will be done to him.Mr.Srihari and Janardhan Reddy said the DGP and the SP of Anathapur had been informed about the calls.The Party president N.Chandrababunaidu wrote to the Chief Minister in this regard and asked him to direct the DGP and other police officials to provide security to Srihari and his family.
