Hospital Chief manhandled

Eluru - East Godavari, February 23, 2005

An angry mob reportedly manhandled the Superintendent of Government Hospital K.Raja Rao at Chintalapudi in West Godavari district to protest against the alleged dereliction of duties by doctors in attending an emergency case.

According to police, on person was brought to the hospital on Tuesday night with severe injuries sustained in a road accident. But the hospital staff allegedly failed to pay immediate attention on the patient. A case was registered against two persons on the charge of subjecting a public servant to assault and intimidation.
