Naxals blast forest range office

Warangal, February 22, 2005

Maoists blasted a forest range office at Kothaguda mandal headquarters late last night. According to villagers, two naxalites went to the office on a two-wheeler and planted two landmines on the premises and detonated them. In the violence of the blast, the entire building consisting of four rooms came crashing down. The Forest Range Officer, Shankariah who lodged a complaint with the police said that the loss is at Rs.10 lakhs.
