The tenth National Youth Festival was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Sunil Dutt and said that Hyderabad the permanent venue for future editions of this jamboree.
Speaking on the occasion organized at Lal Bahadur Stadium on Monday, he said like Goa, which was made the permanent venue for the International Film Festival of India, Hyderabad too could become the permanent venue for the National Youth Festival. The Governor, Sushil Kumar Shinde who said the vitality of youth had to be combined with discipline for nation building, inaugurated the festival. The Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy told the youth not to tolerate fundamentalism or extremism of any kind.
