Sreenu, the prime accused in the murder of Paritala Ravi was remanded to judicial custody by the First Additional District Court till December 23 on Friday. When he was produced before Additional Judge, A Jaya Raj ,in connection with the murder of Ravi and MP T.Prabhakr amid tight security. Police personnel were deployed in strength on the court premises as well as the tow as the prime accused in the most sensational murder was being brought the court and Anantapur town first time. The Judge dismissed the plea of the jail authorities who petitioned against lodging him in the district jail citing security reasons. However, the court placed restrictions on Sreenu barring him from meeting people or prisoners without the permission of the court and would be housed in a separate barracks in the prison.
Suri and four others were also produced before the court in connection with a conspiracy case to blast the house of Paritala Ravindra. They were remanded in custody till December 21. Banners appeared across the street in the Santhosh Road area welcoming Sreenu to the town containing the words Kaliyuga Bhimaseenudu. The police were quick in their reaction in removing the controversial banners.
