Former Bollywood starlet and companion of Abu Salem Monica Bedi was taken to Bhopal amid tight security on Sunday. She would be produced before a local court there on Monday in a case related to possession of a fake passport. A non bailable warrant had been pending against her in the case. According to a senior police official in the prisons department CBI officials took Bedi from Chanchalguda Central Prison where she was lodged and was driven away by an escort team to the Nampally railway station and all the while, her face was covered.
Ms. Bedi was made to board the AP Express along with 17 armed constables. The police booked a luggage cum parcel van of the train for the journey. Though several media persons were present at the railway station, the escort team ensured that none could get close. Though some TV Camera crews even tried to take pictures but failed to do so as police security personnel prevented from doing so.
