East GodavariThe East Godavari unit of Andhra Pradesh Archaka Samakhya has demanded amendment of Endowments Act which gives hereditary right to Archakas in the State. The Samakhya conducted a meeting on Saturday and passed several resolutions on their problems.
The Regional Joint Commissioner of Endowments GVN Murty in his opening remarks said that after philanthropists, Archakas were given preference in the temples. He asked the priest and staff to work in tandem and keep the sanctity and tradition of temples.
