Two revolutionary women organizations come together

Two revolutionary women organizations which have been agitating in the Stat for the last few years merged at a meeting held on Thursday. The Jagruti Mahila Sangham (JMS) merged into the People's Organization for Women(POW) and POW's State president Sandhya said that united Women's struggle would put an end to the violence against the women.

State General Secretary of the POW Jhansi said that th merger of the two organizations indicated the unity among the revolutionary women organizations. Rohini Devi of JMS and Ramanikumari of POW jointly presided over the meeting. After the meeting, a procession was taken out to the Collectorate from Prahlada Prayer Hall in which the State Leaders of VIRASAM, Chalasani rasad and Krishna Bai also participated. They submitted a memorandum to the Collector asking the Government to control to the pubs, bars and discotheques which were violating all rules make the Censor Board to work in the right direction include the representatives of the women's organizations on the committee to sensor obscene posters keep a close watch on the celebrations to be held on the nigh of December 31.
