Barely a day after Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the Congress was prepared to go it alone in the next elections, APCC President D Srinivas, on his part, came up with a statement that the door of the party are always open to all opposition parties except the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharateeya Janatha Party (BJP).

AICC team reviews plenary arrangements

Arrangements on full swing for the AICC Meetings

An All India Congress Committee delegation comprising General Secretaries Digvijay Singh in charge of Andhra Pradesh and Ambika Soni and Motilal Vora on Tuesday supervised the arrangements for the AICC plenary session to be held at Gachibowli from January 21 to 23. They suggested minor changes after spending nearly four hours at the venue. The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president K Keshava Rao and Political Advisor to the Chief Minister KVP Ramachandra Rao accompanied them.

Extensive arrangements are being made for the plenary keeping in view of the Z plus security provided to the VVIPs. The two day plenary will be preceded by a Congress Steering Committee meeting on January 21 evening. The plenary itself is expected to be attended by over 12,000 delegates including 2000 AICC delegates. At least 15 Chief Ministers of Congress ruled States would be attending it apart from their PACC presidents. The AICC office opened at the party headquarters, Gandhi Bhavan and the PCC have made elaborate arrangements to house the delegates at the hotels of corporate colleges nearby and a the sports village near the stadium.
