CPI asks PM to consult the Left and other parties before taking decision
The Communist Party of India (CPI) has asked the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh to consult the Left and other parties supporting the UPA coailation at the Centre before taking any decision on reforms in the labour laws. The CPI MP Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy said that the CPI is not threatening the Government bu cautioning the Government that the Left will not have any obligation to support the coailation if the Government adopts anti working class policies. He was addressing a large gathering of party workers and Jan Seva Dal activists at a public meeting on the occasion of the party's 80th anniversary on Monday.
A large number of Jan Seva Dal activists clad in red shirt and khaki shorts and carrying party flags and lathis marched from Sundarayya Park to Indira Park, the venue of the public meeting.
