Chief Minister agrees to set up Pharma University
Hyderabad

The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the Government would be willing to establish world class University of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Hyderabad if the industry majors agreed to share fifty per cent of the cost for the first five years. He gave this assurance at the 57th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress organized by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Andhra Pradesh Branch on Friday.

He said that the industry majors should sit together and come up with the best proposal and the Government will go all out to prove the necessary infrastructure and further said that 100 acres of land around the city would be earmarked for the proposed university. He said that the Government would approach the Centre to provide exemptions to Pharma industries in the State.
