TRS to boycott Assembly golden jubilee fete

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has decided to boycott the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on December 3. It will observe it as protest day on the grounds that the Telangana region had suffered on all fronts in the last five decades after the formation of Andhra Pradesh State. The TRS floor leader G.Vijayarama Rao and other legislators told reporters on Thursday that people of Telangana had lost every thing after the region, forming part of the erstwhile Hyderabad State was merged to form a separate State in 1956.

The TRS would boycott the special sitting in the old Assembly hall and pay tributes to the martyrs at the Telangana martyrs memorial ear Assembly buildings. The legislators would participate in the condolence meeting of the former President KR Narayanan and then troop out of the Assembly to visit Martyrs memorial. Mr.Narasima Reddy said that the Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy was guided byte pro Andhra leaders who were against Telangana people and their aspirations.
