The three emissaries that the Maoists chose to represent them in the peace talks with the Government announced their decision to pull out of the process on Monday and made an announcement to this effect. In a press conference, Kalayanarao, Gaddar and Varavararao whom the CPI (Maoist) party nominated, and Chandranna, the Janashakti representative said the Government had closed the door on peace talks despite their repeated efforts to make it see reason.
Fake encounters, combings and harassment of innocent people were on the rise and the atmosphere was no longer conductive for peace talks. To a question, they replied that the violence by naxals was only a counter violence provoked by the Government.
