Godavari water diversification under study

Nizamabad, April 4, 2005

The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy has said the Government is actively considering diversification of Godavari water to Kamareddy and Yellareddy water to Kamareddy and Yellareddy in Nizamabad district and Medak, Ranga Reddy and parts of Mahabubnagar districts.

A committee has been constituted to study the subject and asked to submit the report in six months. As soon as the report, the Government will get ready to formulate a plan to divert the Godavari water to the above areas. This was announced by the Chief Minister at a press conference after concluding his Rajiv Nagara Bata in the district on Monday.
