A major initiative towards integrated development of a coastal corridor extending from Srikakulam to Nellore district is proposed to be taken up by the Government.
The coastal corridor aims at giving a special thrust to industrialization, infrastructure and utilities as well as paying attention to education and health. The project will be taken up in two phases one the first from Srikakulam to Godavari and the second from West Godavari to Nellore. Due to this project, nearly 73 coastal mandals will be covered in the first phase and four lane coastal roads will be constructed.
