The Telugu Desam Party has charged Swaranjit Sen, DGP with acting in a vengeful manner and asked the Government to remove him from the post and drop the case booked under the SC/ST Act against the IAS Officer, Shalini Mishra.
In a press conference on Thursday, TDP leaders alleged that the case against Ms.Mishara was foisted because she had ordered an enquiry against the adoption agency which was run by the DGP's Wife Anita Sen some years ago. The leaders demanded a judicial probe to find out whether the tribal based on whose complaint a case was booked against Ms.Mishra had lodged it on his own or was forced to do so. The TDP leaders urged the Governor Sushil Kumar Shinde to advice the Government in this regard.
