A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Government and the governing body of the Emergency Management and Response Institute in the presence of the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Saturday.
The objective of the MoU is to provide effective and timely response in all kinds of emergencies. It is also aimed at fostering close coordination between the Government agencies and emergency service providers such as hospitals, blood banks and water supply bodies. The governing Board of EMRI includes, B.Ramalinga Raju, Chairman of Satyam Computer Services Ltd., according to an official press release. The EMRI would commence its service from 15th August in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Warangal and Tirupati.
