Two policemen injured in naxal attack

Vijayanagaram, April 19, 2005

Suspected CPI (Maoists) opened fire on the reserve inspector of Fifth APSP Battalion, Durga Raj and Head constable, DV Ramanarao at Tummika Manuguda village in Kurupam mandal on Tuesday afternoon. Both the police personnel reportedly suffered bullet injuries on their legs.

According to police sources, they were on their way to Mondemkal on a motorcycle when the naxals suddenly opened fire at them.
