Naxals fire at vehicles

Visakhapatnam, April 15, 2005

The District Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Kumar Jain told the press persons that nearly forty strong group of naxals stopped traffic for over six hours from 11pm on Thursday.

The Maoists opened fire indiscriminately on the vehicles and during the operation one person of APGenco who is taking in an ambulance was died of shock and some others injured. The naxals raided a Girijan Cooperative Corporation godwon at Diuppalavada and took away 200 bags of rice and distributed to the villagers.
